Great food in a great place
Situated on Galmisdale Point, close to both the new pier and the head of the old pier, Galmisdale Bay Café and Bar is perfectly placed for you to enjoy excellent home cooked food, served by our friendly staff, set against a backdrop of stunning scenery.
All the ingredients we use are fresh and sourced locally whenever possible. We use a local butcher who sources the majority of his meat from the highlands and a fish merchant based in Mallaig (one of Scotland's biggest fishing ports).
Eigg is steeped in history and folklore and makes for an ideal getaway from the stresses of city life. Whether visiting for the day, staying here on holiday or just stopping in on your boat on the way past, Galmisdale Bay offers a place to stop, rest, re-charge and take in the beautiful sights of the small isles.

Choices and Requirements
Although there are not many choices of places to eat on Eigg, it doesn't mean your choices have to be limited.
VEGAN
Over the last few years we have strived to increase the choices available for vegans. Our daytime menu has a range of combinations available and we also have options on our evening and pizza menu
Gluten Free
We offer a selection of gluten free products on our menus, including baking our own gluten free bread. As everything is baked freshly on the premises we do our best, but we cannot guarantee that there might not be traces of flour present in other products.
Events
Over the Summer months various events will take place at Galmisdale Bay Cafe & Bar and we will endeavor to keep you updated on what to look forward too.
Friday Night Tunes in the Bar
A few of our locals have been getting together most Friday Evenings in the bar to play traditional tunes.
If the session is on and you fancy joining in then just turn up with your instruments.
Eigg's Anniversary
Weekend
13th and 14th June
This year Eigg is celebrating 29 years of community ownership.
There will be a music session in the Cafe/Bar on the Sunday evening
Feis Tutors Traditional music session
Thursday 9th July
Fèis Eige, is an annual two and a half day event which takes place in early July, The event provides two and a half days of tuition in traditional music, song, dance, art and Gaelic activities for children.
On the Thursday evening the tutors come down and play tunes in the bar. All are welcome to come and join in.
